Job purpose:
Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the security staff in a building or within a designated area. Supervise the implementation of protocols that would ensure the safety of the club, people and property. Furthermore, make sure that all security devices and equipment are working correctly.
What do we expect from you?
Key duties:
- Oversee the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of security team
- Coordinate and communicate with the team in responding to emergencies and alarms
- Lead the daily shifts briefings and handovers
- Schedule the team leaves plan in alignment with the Assistant Manager to ensure no disruption in the working plan while ensuring the team take their rest to avoid fatigue or health issues
- Supervise the team’s adherence to the set work schedule, punctuality and grooming standards
- Record the daily operation and issues that are being experienced in the security log and keep the Security Manager/ Assistant updated with any incidents
- Must be thoroughly understanding the Security Standards and ensure they are being followed by the team
- Maintains a professional way of communication with the members as per the set etiquette rules and standards
- Intervenes on security incidents in his designated area (s) by taking the necessary actions according to the club’s policies and guidelines and escalate to the manager in case of major issues that are beyond his own authorities
- May inform / report any behaviors done by colleagues in other departments that might affect the security and safety of the property or people
- Raise any observed potential risk to the Manager and discuss alternative potential actions
- Ensure the team receive and return back their devices with no damage or loss and ensure these devices are properly functioning
- Might participate in investigations as applicable
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining files and processing paperwork
- Assist club members in all security related activities or with any inquiries or needs
Health and Safety:
- Attend and participate in Safety & Security meetings
- Work closely with the Health & Safety Department getting the most efficient means of safety and the lowest level of Property Risk factors.
- Giving full support to the Fire and Safety Management and procedures
- Ensure all team members are working in a healthy and safely manner
People Management:
- Act as a role model and ensure the team are living KODE culture
- Participate in the recruitment and training of his team
- Supervise the team’s performance and continuously coaching them and take the corrective actions as applicable
Reporting:
- Assists in preparing reports as applicable
What do you need to perform your role?
To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:
Education and experience:
- Diploma in a relevant discipline. Bachelor degree would be a plus
- 4 years experience preferably in hospitality or facility management
Skills and knowledge:
- Organized, has a keen eye for detail, trustworthy
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Relatively good working knowledge of MS Office
- Intuition and anticipating situations
- Committed and reliable
- Conflict Resolution
- Very good communication skills and presentability
