Job purpose:
Your main mission is to develop and implement security standards, policies, protocols and procedures as well as overseeing the effective and efficient operation of the property, venue, and the security team to ensure security of people, facility, assets and all types of property protection at all times. You will oversee security direction for all special events or critical incidents. Ensure hiring and maintaining highly qualified and constantly trained team are on board.
What do we expect from you?
1. Operations planning and management:
Ensures company goals and departmental goals are met quarterly and annually.
Develop and implement the department's SOP, policies and procedures in coordination with the Director of Operations.
Develop and ensure the implementation of the security policies, protocols, systems and procedures including standards, loss control, conflict or incidents management, potential theft management
Involve the Supervisors in setting the relevant checklists
Work with the Operations Director in the preparation of his department annual budget including manpower plan and all resources and tools
Control the budgets and monitor expenses
Securing the Property from any damages that may result from human negligence or deliberate misbehavior
Ensure department schedules for shifts and leaves as well as team distribution on the facility are set in an efficient and effective way to ensure property and people are fully protected 24/7
Maintains a monthly overview of vacation- and public holiday balance of all security staff
Arrange for and lead conducting the relevant awareness sessions to staff or members as needed to ensure spreading security culture and adhering to the set instructions aiming at securing people and property
Keep Operations Director fully informed of all security-related matters.
Work closely with the Safety and the Engineering departments to make sure Fire fighting systems are properly functioning
Work closely with the technology and engineering department to ensure all security systems are operating properly including access control, surveillance cameras and screens, security communication devices…etc
Must be thoroughly familiar and up to date with the club Operations dynamics to update and adapt his department procedures accordingly
Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
Review Security logbook daily and take the necessary action(s)
Lead investigations as applicable
Regularly review department policies and procedures and make recommendations to the Management when policy changes are required, and to evaluate on a continuing basis the potential threats to Security.
Is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his field of responsibility.
2. Health and Safety:
Ensure the department personnel attendinding and contributing in Safety & Security meetings
Works closely with the Health & Safety Department getting the most efficient means of safety and the lowest level of Property Risk factors.
Drive the health and safety culture among the department personnel
3. People Management:
Act as a role model of RYZE culture and ensure the team are living the culture
Develops job descriptions for all Security staff.
Recruit and train and supervise security officers and guards
Is responsible for setting up and maintaining ongoing training programs in conjunction with the Personnel & Training Manager.
Set the department objectives and KPIs and ensure each team members has clear objectives
Create a performance driven work environment that uses recognition and performance feedback to promote teamwork and mutual respect
4. Reporting:
Prepare reports on incidents, accidents and breaches
Prepares annual security survey reports and submits to the Operations Director.
Keeps all records and reports concerning Security matters and Club business confidential.
5. Continuous improvement:
Compile and analyze data to identify strengths and opportunities
Conduct monthly meetings with the team to propose initiatives and programs to address the opportunities and to maximize Guest Experience
Recommend changes to work practices or tools that will improve employees and guests’ security
What do you need to perform your role?
To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:
Education and experience:
A police or Military Academy can be helpful.
Bachelors University Degree
Minimum 10 years experience including experience in hospitality
Skills and knowledge:
Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
Experience in reporting and emergency response planning
Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis
Working knowledge of MS Office
Very good English language spoken and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
