Job purpose:
The purpose of the Light Current Supervisor role is to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of diverse light current systems, including telecommunications, security systems, fire alarms, and audio-visual equipment. This position exists to provide leadership, coordinate projects, ensure compliance with industry standards, and actively participate in hands-on work.

Key duties:
- Supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance, support, and training in the installation, maintenance, and repair of light current systems.
- Perform hands-on installation, maintenance, and repair tasks for light current systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety guidelines.
- Plan and coordinate daily work schedules, efficiently allocating resources and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Conduct regular inspections to evaluate the performance and condition of light current systems and equipment, identifying areas for improvement or repair.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as project managers and engineers, to develop project plans and timelines for new installations or upgrades.
- Review technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings to ensure accurate implementation of light current systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex issues or malfunctions in light current systems.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan and optimize the performance of light current systems.
- Monitor inventory levels of equipment and supplies, initiating procurement requests as needed.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, emerging technologies, and best practices in light current systems, and make recommendations for improvement.
People Management:
- Participate in the screening process for recruiting
- Together with the Technology Manager, set the department objectives and KPIs and ensure each team member has clear objectives
- Seek self development and keeping updated with the most updated technology
Health and Safety:
- Adhere to the set Health & Safety instruction
Reporting:
- Assist in consolidating reports coming from the different departments
Continuous improvement:
- Staying up to date with the latest technologies
- Work closely with the Management, understand their needs and come up with innovative solution l applications
What do you need to perform your role:
To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:
Education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in working with light current systems, including telecommunications, security systems, fire alarms, and audio-visual equipment.
Skills and knowledge:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of light current systems.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to light current systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical specifications, blueprints, and drawings.
- Familiarity with relevant software tools and systems used in light current operations.
