Job purpose:
You will be responsible for nurturing dependable IT infrastructure and networking that’s always up and running by attending to all aspects of company IT Infrastructure, System, Communication, Security and connectivity Environment. Planning for major modifications and improvement to infrastructure and connectivity company‐wide.
What do we expect from you:
1. Key duties:
₋ Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions and policies
₋ Oversee all network activities
₋ Troubleshoot issues and outages
₋ Research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
₋ Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, endpoints and security updates….etc.
₋ Support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments
₋ Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed
₋ Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups
₋ Monitor datacenter health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise
₋ Help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed
₋ Study vendors offer technical advise for the best design and best performance
₋ Support the implementation of different infrastructure projects as applicable
₋ Plan, design and manage the connectivity and infrastructure for disaster recovery site
₋ Ensure that company assets are maintained responsibly
₋ Ensure the accurate and timely installations, enhancements, upgrades and migrations as needed
₋ Upgrade systems with new releases and models
₋ Create technical documentation and manuals
₋ Responsible for safeguarding business, staff and customers data of all forms either sensitive or non-sensitive or else will be subject to disciplinary action that might lead to dismissal
₋ Planning and designing the cloud infrastructure with AWS
₋ Maintaining and deploying the cloud applications
₋ Troubleshooting and resolving issues with the cloud infrastructure
₋ Developing new cloud-based solutions
₋ Planning and monitoring the AWS cloud infrastructure
₋ Building and configuring the production systems
₋ Managing the updating process of the server-based technologies
₋ Coordinating with architecture teams to design new software technologies for clients
2. Health and Safety:
Adhere to the set Health & Safety instruction
3. Continuous improvement:
● Recognizes necessary infrastructure improvements and makes suggestions to the Technology Manager
● Anticipate future infrastructure and system’s needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy the operations needs
What do you need to perform your role:
To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:
● Education and experience:
○ Bachelor's degree in computer engineering/science or telecommunication
○ Minimum 3 years of experience in the same position
● Skills and knowledge:
○ Technology savvy and possesses an innovative mindset
○ Must be able to respond well under stress, pressure and in emergency cases
○ Working experience with infrastructure and connectivity different solution and portfolio
○ Experience in different vendors technologies in infrastructure solutions, Cisco , Fortinet , HP , Avaya ..
○ Certified CCNA / CCNP or equivalent
○ Excellent problem solving skills
○ Strong Team Player with solid interpersonal skills
○ Excellent communication skills
○ Excellent in time management
○ Willing to work for long hours on occasion
○ ITIL certified is a plus
○ Should possess high level of integrity and is trusted with sensitive data
