Coach – FMS Track Skills Program


Reports To

Lead Coach 


Position Summary:


The Coach delivers engaging, safe, and developmentally appropriate Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) sessions following the Track Skills curriculum. Encourage athletes to develop confidence and a lifelong love for sports.


Key Responsibilities


Program Delivery


* Deliver sessions according to the Track Skills curriculum.

* Adapt activities to suit athletes’ developmental needs.

* Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging training environment.


Athlete Development


* Develop athletes’ Fundamental Movement Skills, including locomotor, balance, object control, and age-appropriate sport-specific skills.

* Build confidence, teamwork, resilience, and enjoyment of movement.

* Monitor athlete progress and support assessments.


Teamwork & Communication


* Work collaboratively with the Lead Coach and coaching team.

* Communicate athlete progress and any concerns promptly.

* Be open to feedback and contribute ideas for program improvement.


Professionalism


* Complete attendance and required reports accurately.

* Assist with equipment setup and organization.

* Participate in workshops, assessments, camps, and program events.

* Continuously develop coaching knowledge and uphold the standards of the Track Skills program.


Working Conditions


* Evening working hours.

* 4–6 working days per week.

* Approximately 4–5 hours per day.

* Indoor and outdoor coaching environments.
