Job purpose:
The main purpose of your role is to oversee the work activities of your team of housekeepers to ensure that the designated area (s) including sports courts, outlets and utilities are kept clean following our hygiene and quality standards including assigning duties. He/she will stand as a role model for KODE values among which ensuring satisfying the expectations and needs of our members through leading a qualified, well trained, committed and happy team.
What do we expect from you:
Operations planning and management:
- Good knowledge of club facilities and operating hours
- Ensures his/her teams’ KPIs are achieved
- Participate in setting the workforce plan
- Schedule and adjust staff shifts and organizing replacements
- Managing and supervising team attendance and ensure their punctuality. Report any deviation to Assistant manager to align on the necessary disciplinary action
- Schedule the team leaves plan in alignment with the Assistant Manager to ensure no disruption in the working plan while ensuring the team take their rest to avoid fatigue or health issues
- Assign housekeeping tasks to staff and continuously inspect work to ensure that the set standards and any specific instructions of cleanliness are met
- Track cleaning check lists and ensure tasks completion
- Ensure reported requests or tickets are timely closed
- Regularly conducting inventory of cleaning supplies, tools and equipment and requesting for the needed stock
- Reporting on the status of the housekeeping equipment to take the necessary action (s) to ensure they are functioning at all times
- Reporting any observed maintenance issues
- Support in performing various cleaning duties when needed
- Ensure own staff are adhering to KODE Health, Safety and Environment standards at all times
- Collaborate with his/her peers Supervisors
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork
People Management:
- Participate in screening housekeeping applicants
- Provide continuous coaching and on job training to own team to make sure they are doing their tasks as per the set standards and report on any development needs of his staff
- Train the team on the proper use of the equipment and materials
- Ensure the team are delivering on their KPIs
- Monitor and follow up on the team’s performance and conduct the daily “Briefing Meeting” to assign duties, tasks or any special events as applicable
- Ensure the team are adhering to the set policies
- Lead by example in owning and living KODE values and culture
Continuous improvement:
- Suggest recommendations to improve service
What do you need to perform your role:
To perform your job successfully, you need to have the following minimum requirements:
- Education and experience:
- High school diploma. Education background in Hospitality is a plus
- minimum 3 years in supervising team in 5. or 4 stars hotel or leading company
- Skills and knowledge:
- Very good supervisory skills
- Excellent execution abilities
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office
- Good communication skills
- Full knowledge of all cleaning supplies and recommended chemicals
- Ability to follow directions thoroughly and work with minimal supervision
- Physically fit to the job
- Superior customer service
- Collaborative by nature
- Extra language is a plus
